London Palladium’s ‘Busker Mum’ And NHS Trust Choir Get Chance To Appear With Jonathan Antoine

The Cinderella figure at the centre of the hottest rags-to-riches entertainment story of the month is set to have a ball at Viva Blackpool, when she appears as one of the support acts for classic crossover singer and former Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Jonathan Antoine.

Hayley Moss is the 28-year-old singer who wowed an audience at the London Palladium in a show broadcast on ITV on May 4.  Those who caught the ‘Tonight at the London Palladium’ show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, will remember her as the busker mum from Norwich who received a standing ovation for her rendition of the moving ‘Time to Say Goodbye’.

Hayley’s connections with Blackpool run deep.  Although she originates from Manchester and now lives in Norfolk, she spent her childhood summers in Blackpool, staying with her cousins.  She was also put forward for the Palladium show by impresario, Jon Conway, who heard her sing whilst busking and immediately signed her.  Jon is a veteran of 40 Blackpool summer shows and the man who created the Illuminasia attraction.

Jon was wowed by Hayley’s classic opera and crystal clear voice, but was also impressed when he realised she is equally adept at singing in other musical styles, with a repertoire ranging from Adele to Lana Del Ray.

Starring at the Palladium was one of Hayley’s dreams and getting a record deal was another. The latter has happened thanks to Sony having been at the London venue, leaving Hayley with just one more goal – to star in Blackpool.  Now, even that has come true, within 14 days of her TV appearance, with Viva Blackpool  (www.vivablackpool.com) having booked her for both nights of the Jonathan Antoine shows, on May 20 and 21.

The Trust Choir also appearing this Friday Night

Those dates will also see a local act, The Trust Choir, appearing on stage.  This choir is made up mainly of local NHS staff from Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and has been entertaining audiences for over four years. It is now encouraging other people who love to sing to join it, to share in the fun of performing at venues like Viva Blackpool.

The choir’s repertoire ranges from choral works, such as the classic ‘Ave Maria’ and ‘Panus Angelicus’, to contemporary numbers like ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘Shine’.  The choir can also be hired for functions and has its own website at www.trustsingers.com

Viva Blackpool’s managing director, Martin Heywood, says: “Our fabulous Jonathan Antoine shows just got even better, with Hayley sure to be an amazing addition as a support act and The Trust Choir being performers who are sure to be well appreciated by any local people who are in the audience.

“New talent like Hayley doesn’t come along very often and we felt we just had to give her a slot in our two Jonathan Antoine shows, to help her achieve all of her ambitions and to give Blackpool the chance to enjoy an act that generated rave reviews in London.  Hayley could be the next big recording artist, given her rare blend of classical voice and commercial edge, so this is a golden opportunity to see her in her early days and boast that you were there!”
