Blackpool has a brand new reason to get dressed up and hit the town. Viva Blackpool is launching an all-new quarterly tribute show series, Viva Presents: The Icons — bringing together three world-class tribute acts on one stage, every single quarter, all performed live with a full band.
Unlike a typical solo tribute night, Viva Presents: The Icons puts three incredible tributes on the same bill, with every act performed live with a live band rather than a backing track — so whichever artist you’re coming to see, you’re getting a genuine live concert experience, not a karaoke night.
Here’s what’s coming up so far.
Sunday 28th March 2027 — Tributes to Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and George Michael
The opening night of Viva Presents: The Icons brings together three of the biggest voices in music history — a tribute to Mariah Carey courtesy of Michaela Holmes, Celebrating Celine, a tribute to Celine Dion starring Lisa Harter, and a tribute to George Michael from John Francis.
All three acts are performed live with Viva’s own house band, capturing every whistle note, soaring ballad and pop anthem exactly as it should be heard — live, loud and unforgettable.
Sunday 2nd May 2027 — Tributes to George Michael, Diana Ross and Freddie Mercury
Viva Presents: The Icons returns with a tribute to George Michael from John Francis, a tribute to Diana Ross from Tameka Jackson, and a tribute to Freddie Mercury from Ian Beatie.
From George Michael’s soulful pop anthems, to Diana Ross’s Motown glamour, to Freddie Mercury’s rock theatrics, this is another night of pure live music — every song performed in full with a live band from start to finish.
Sunday 30th May 2027 — Tributes to Dolly Parton, Celine Dion and Tom Jones
A country queen, a global pop icon and a true Welsh legend share the stage as Viva Presents: The Icons continues — a tribute to Dolly Parton from Danni Graham, Celebrating Celine, a tribute to Celine Dion once again from Lisa Harter, and a tribute to Tom Jones from Jeff Fry.
As always, every performance on the night is backed live by Viva’s own house band — no backing tracks, just a full band bringing the songs of Dolly Parton, Celine Dion and Tom Jones to life in front of you.
