‘The Works’ returns to Viva Blackpool for 2017

At Viva we are passionate about the development of the showbiz industry and we are incredibly pleased to continue to support Phil Winston’s  Theatreworks Dance College by hosting their wonderful shows here at Viva.

For several years now the well-respected Theatreworks, under the direction of Phil Winston and his faculty have put on a series of incredible shows called ‘The Works’

Based right here in Blackpool, the show business capital of the North, Theatreworks neighbours Viva. Overlooking the sea with seven purpose built studios, music room and its own Studio Theatre. Students enjoy spacious areas and their own greenroom with impressive views overlooking the sea. The college is a secure environment with access only being gained through fingerprint recognition at the main entrance.

The training at Theatreworks is quite unique in that all classes are timetabled intensively over a three day period. This has proven to be very advantageous as the students experience life away from home for half the week whilst having the stability of family and friends the other half. The process is also affordable as the students are encouraged to attain part-time work, so contributing to their funding. This ensures full appreciation and application.

The highly dedicated and qualified team of professionals who make up the Teaching Faculty at Theatreworks continually strive to find each skill every student has to offer . . . and develop these skills to their fullest potential….the art to perform.

Being no stranger to our stage some of the students have gone on to becoming Viva Showgirls performing with us throughout the year in our in-house production shows. We look forward to welcoming the students back to viva this year as their friends and families travel from across the country to see them perform in The Works here at Viva!
