It’s been confirmed that the World famous Blackpool Illuminations will shine brighter, for longer in an extended season run for 2023.
The switch on event, yet to be confirmed as an outdoor festival or virtual online event, will take place on Friday 1st September 2023 and the lights will shine over 4 months until Monday 1st January 2024.
The news follows the confirmation that major investment into new features will be introduced over the coming years, and that the council led ‘Christmas By The Sea’ and high visitor numbers over the Festive period.
